Examination of Current Work Schedule (CWS)
Production of Demand Profile/s –
incorporating factors such as geographical size, nature of calls, required , non patrol work (arrests, paper work, etc), desired response times, crewing policy, etc.
Production of ‘Ideal’ Staffing Profile/s -
the number of officers required to be on duty each hour throughout an average week to meet demand within the constraints (response targets, etc) set by the force or local commander.
Full report including observations and recommendations in respect of :
- The efficiency of the CWS vis-à-vis the ‘Ideal’ Staffing Profile
- The health, safety and welfare aspects of CWS
- Any legislation pertinent to the CWS, Working Time Directive etc.
- The potential for improving the CWS
- Formal presentation of findings
